LOT OF 6 US & BRITISH BAYONETS.
This lot consists of the following bayonets: 1) British P1907 bayonet. Bayonet has 1916 & 1934 dates but maker's marking is illegible. Scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet are mostly gray with scattered edge wear, oxidation, dings & scratches. Grips have a darkened appearance with some chipping,a few small cracks, dings & handling wear. Scabbard shows flaking, crazing & staining.
2) US M1917 Bayonet. Remington made M1917 bayonet. No scabbard present. CONDITION: metal shows scattered oxidation, areas turning gray, dings & age wear. Grip panels show some gouges, notable chipping, dings & handling marks.
3) British P1913 Bayonet. Made by Remington & dated 9-17. CONDITION: metal is an overall gray oxidized patina with edge wear. Grips show some staining, dings & handling wear.
4) Modified M1 Style Bayonet. Bayonet appears unmarked & has parkerized finish. Blade has a thinned appearance and measures 6" in length with overall 11" length. No scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show scattered edge wear & light oxidation. Grooved black grips show chipping, scattered staining & flaking.
5) US M1 Bayonet. AFH made M1 bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows notable thinning & edge wear. Other metal parts are a dull gray oxidized patina. Handles show scattered dings, handling marks & some staining. Scabbard shows a notable chip & crack on one side, scattered edge wear & scuffing.
6) US M1 Bayonet. 1943 dated & AFH made. Scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show overall thinning & edge wear with scattered oxidation & light pitting. Grips show overall staining. Scabbard shows scattered thinning paint, scuffing & edge wear. (02-25773/MJC). $400-700 for lot.
