1) REMINGTON MODEL 25 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF. S# 16381. Bbl. 23 13/16". Model 25 slide action rifle mfg. by Remington in April of 1927. Top of the bbl. is marked with Remington's 2-line mfg. and patent information, with the cal. designation marked on the left. Left side of receiver is marked with the model designation and S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Grooved wood pump with lightly sanded and refinished pistol grip buttstock and steel buttplate. Dovetailed blade front sight and dovetailed elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, scattered handling marks (including scratches around the takedown screw), as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Pump exhibits a repaired full length crack on the left side. Buttstock exhibits scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-5798/MLW). CURIO. 2) REMINGTON MODEL 582 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 45454. Bbl. 24". Model 582 bolt action rifle mfg. by Remington. Top of the bbl. is marked with the model and cal. designations, with a poorly (illegibly) stamped date code and boxed "71" marked on the left side. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. 1-piece plain wood Monte Carlo pistol grip buttstock with checkered black synthetic Remington buttplate. Toeline of stock and underside of bbl. / mag. tube feature sling swivels. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight with black synthetic U-notch rear sight. Receiver is grooved for a scope attachment. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear fading to gray patina, as well as small scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Receiver exhibits patches of mild surface oxidation. Bolt knob has faded to a gray patina. Very bright bore, exhibiting some apparent very light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with scattered mildew spotting present on the butt. (25-5802/MLW). MODERN. 3) REMINGTON MODEL 552 "SPEEDMASTER" SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. NSN. Bbl. 23". Model 552 "Speedmaster" semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Remington. Top of the receiver is marked with Remington's mfg. and patent information, as well as the cal. designation, with a "DN" date code marked on the left. Left side of the receiver is marked with the Remington trademark logo, followed by "Speedmaster/ MODEL 552". Alloy receiver exhibits a black anodized finish, with the alloy trigger guard exhibiting a blue anodized finish. Steel parts exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with checkered black synthetic Remington buttplate. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight and 2-screw fastened elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. Receiver is grooved for a scope attachment. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, some light to mild wear, and scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered handling marks and minor impressions, but otherwise remains sound.
