SHOTGUNS. 1) Cal. 12 GA. S# E523544. Bbl. 28". Model 1897 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1914. Top of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, followed by "12 GA.", with a "MOD" choke marking stamped on the left. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Grooved wood pump with plain wood pistol grip buttstock and checkered black hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Brass bead front sight. Bbl. matches the receiver. CONDTION: receiver retains fair amounts of its original blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning fading to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as consistent light to mild surface oxidation overall. Bbl. retains large amounts of its original blue finish, exhibiting consistent light surface oxidation, with scattered patches of mild oxidation. Bore exhibits a consistent scattering of mild to moderate pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a crack on either side of the wrist that stems from the receiver. (25-4752/MLW). 2) Cal. 12 GA. S# E839122. Bbl. 30". Model 1897 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1936. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard factory markings denoting the model and cal. designations, with Winchester's mfg. and patent information marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish overall. Reproduction grooved wood pump and pistol grip buttstock with checkered black synthetic Winchester buttplate. Brass bead front sight. Bbl. collar matches the receiver. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their professionally reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, with some scattered spots of light pitting. Bbl. exhibits 2 small dings on the right side. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light to mild pitting beneath the bluing. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is very good overall.
