RIFLES. 1) WINCHESTER MODEL 92 LEVER ACTION SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 25-20. S# 577592. Bbl. 18 1/2". Model 92 lever action saddle ring carbine mfg. by Winchester in 1910. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard factory markings denoting the model and cal. designations, with Winchester's mfg. information marked on the right. Bbl. and mag. tube exhibit a blue finish overall. Sanded and refinished plain wood single band fastened forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate. Ground blade front sight (base brazed into dovetail) and dovetail carbine ladder rear sight. Left side of receiver features a saddle ring staple and ring. CONDITION: receiver, lever, bbl. band, mag. tube band, and buttplate have been cleaned at one time, having faded to a mottled gray patina with scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Bbl. retains the majority of its original factory blue finish, showing some light wear and thinning fading to gray patina, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation. Mag. tube shows streaks of wear fading to gray patina and scattered handling marks. Mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting towards the muzzle, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-5341/MLW). 2) WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF. S# 286205. Bbl. 18 5/8". Model 1892 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1905. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, with the cal. designation marked towards the breech. Sanded and refinish plain wood forearm and straight grip buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Aftermarket dovetailed blade front sight (bead absent) and dovetailed U-notch rear sight (elevation slide absent). Bbl. and mag. tube have been shortened, with the factory mag. tube band's dovetail having been filled in. Left side of the receiver exhibits an added hole. CONDITION: receiver has been heavily cleaned at one time, exhibiting a gray patina with cleaning striations and scattered spots/patches of light surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Remaining metal components have faded to a dark gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of dark oxidation. Bore exhibits scattered patches of dark mild to moderate pitting, while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics.
