MODEL 1905 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOLS. 1) AUSTRIAN MILITARY PROOFED ROTH-STEYR MODEL 1907 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 8mm Roth-Steyr. S# 15891. Bbl. 5". Roth-Steyr Model 1907 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Steyr circa. 1909. Top of the frame rib is marked "WAFFENFABRIK STEYR", with an Austrian "W-n (AUSTRIAN COAT OF ARMS) 9" 1909 military acceptance proof marked on the rear. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., bolt assembly, and a few small internal parts, which have been cleaned and are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips, the right panel with a steel data plate marked with an unidentified "3E" unit mark. Standard dovetailed blade front sight with integral V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, internal mag. housing, as well as the muzzle / bbl. retainer. CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots and small patches of mild to moderate pitting beneath the bluing. In-the-white parts show scattered spots and small patches of light to mild pitting. Bore exhibits consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some scattered handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. (25-5363/MLW). 2) ARGENTINE STEYR MANNLICHER MODEL 1905 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.63mm Mannlicher. S# 3557. Bbl. 6 5/16". Mannlicher Model 1905 semi-automatic pistol mfg. under contract for Argentina by Steyr. Left side of the frame is marked "SYSTEM/ MANNLICHER/ Md.1905/ WAFFENFABRIK/ STEYR", with traces of the Argentine coat of arms remaining on the right. Top of frame spur is marked with an encircled "RA". Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the trigger, hammer, and safety lever, which have been cleaned and are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and integral V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame (on chamber area), sideplate, internals, slide, as well as the bbl. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked possibly reproduction brown leather clamshell holster (reminiscent of the Japanese pattern Type 26 & Nambu holsters). CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light pitting present beneath the bluing. Top right side of bbl. exhibits a streak of mild to moderate pitting beneath the blue that runs along the edges of the rib. Relatively bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics.
