VENTILATED RIB, BEAVERTAIL FOREND AND SINGLE SELECTIVE TRIGGER. Cal. 16 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 242232. The 28" barrels are fitted with raised ventilated rib and are unmarked on exterior surfaces. Barrel flats are stamped for mod and full chokes; serial number and Remington date code "P" along with Parker overload proofs. Frame size "1" is on bottom of lump. Splinter is reinforced. Case hardened Parker action is fitted with automatic safety and nickel plated single selective trigger. Water table is stamped with Ilion address, grade and serial number. Action is engraved in typical late "D" style with nicely cut scroll surrounding dogs on sides; setter on left, pointer on right. "PARKER" is on bottom of action. Three pheasants are on trigger plate. Blued trigger guard with scroll on bow has serial number on tang. "PARKER ILION NY" capped pistol grip buttstock made of nicely crotch figured American walnut measures 14" over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock features usual "D" styling with lozenge drop points, point pattern grip checkering and vacant silver oval. Matching, long, beavertail ejector forend has reinforcing bolt. No patent markings are on iron or typical Parker release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .677. R .677. Restriction: L .035 (full). R .016 (mod). Wall thickness: L .030. R .026. STOCK: DAH: 2-7/16". DAC: 1-5/8". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 8 oz. CONDITION: very fine as partially refinished by Larry Delgrego. Barrels retaining nearly all professional quality re-blue. Action retains 85-90% original case hardening color. Trigger guard nicely re-blued. Stocks retain nearly all high quality oil refinish over some minor marks and dings. Checkering appears to be re-cut and is quite sharp. Bores are bright and shiny.
