Johnson Automatics Model 1941 Semi-Automatic Rifle, #B7969, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, parkerized with blued barrel, walnut stock, commercial front sight, and adjustable rear peep sight. A commercial leather sling is attached. Receiver is marked with "patent dates" next to "CAL. .30-06 SEMI-AUTO/"JOHNSON AUTOMATICS"/MODEL OF 1941/MADE IN PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A./B7969" / "CRANSTON/ARMS/CO." in a triangle on the right side. Top of the barrel is stamped "30-06". Rifle is in very good+ overall condition. Barrel has a commercial front sight and was blued, and retains most of its finish. Approx. 75%- 80% parkerized finish remains, showing general thinning and toning, with light patina to the magazine shroud. Trigger guard was also blued. Stock is in very good condition, showing normal light use, but the steel buttplate was replaced with a rubber recoil pad. Action works properly, but the bolt hold does not work, which is a common problem with Johnson rifles. Bore and rifling are good with light frosting. Est.: $3,000-$4,000. (C&R)
