1) Shin-gunto. Overall length is 38 1/2" with a 27" blade having an irregular wavy hamon and a gilted brass habaki. Brass 4 lobed tsuba with an overall floral motif having a single seppa above and below. The nakago has a 8 character signature on one side with a seki stamp near the base and a single mekugi-ana. Matching fuchi and kabuto-gane with white same and menuki that resembles an arrowhead on each side. Green tuska-ito. Saya is black enameled wood with a leather cover. CONDITION: blade primarily shows good polish, but there is minor pitting near the tip. Tsuka and saya both show light overall wear. 2) Wakizashi. Overall length is 28" with a 17" blade having no discernible hamon and a copper habaki. Iron tsuba with 2 large piercings on either side having 2 seppa below and 3 above. The nakago has no signature and a single mekugi-ana. Fuchi is iron with an engraved scene. Kashira is darkened brass with a dragon motif. Tuska-ito is narrow and faded black in color. White same with menuki that resembles a mountain scene on each side. Saya is textured black lacquered wood with a missing kogatana. CONDITION: blade has a good polish, but has several shallow nicks. Tsuka shows moderate wear as does the saya. (02-25380-10/BF). NON-GUN. $600-800.
