1) Wakizashi. A shin-gunto wakizashi measuring overall length is 33 1/2" with a 27" blade having an irregular hamon and a gilded brass habaki. Classic 4 cherry blossom tsuba with 2 seppa above and below. The nakago is unsigned with 2 mekugi-ana. There is matching fuchi and kabuto-gane. White same with three cherry blossom menuki on each side. Light brown tuska-ito. Metal saya with matching gunto in a deep green paint. CONDITION: blade is a bit rough with numerous small edge chips. Tsuka is well worn and quite dirty with a broken release button. The saya has significant finish loss but does retain matching gunto. This sword shows overall heavy wear. 2) Katana. Overall length is 35 3/8" with a 24 1/2" blade having a straight hamon and a copper habaki. Iron 4 lobe tsuba with abstract decoration on both sides and 1 seppa above and below. The nakago has a 5 character signature on one side and a single mekugi-ana. There is matching fuchi and a short kabuto-gane. White same with samurai warrior menuki on each side. Light brown tuska-ito. Wooden saya with full length leather cover. CONDITION: blade has a good polish, but does have a noticeable chip in the ha. Tsuka is solid, but the tsuka-ito is separated at the top menuki. The saya appears solid with a complete, but worn leather cover. 3) Katana. Overall length is 39" with a 26 7/8" blade having an irregular hamon and a copper habaki. Brass 4 lobe unadorned tsuba with a single seppa below. The nakago has a 2 character signature on one side with a showa stamp below and a single mekugi-ana. There is a plain matching brass fuchi and kashira. White same with matching menuki that are difficult to discern, but possibly show pomegranates. Black tuska-ito. Black enameled wooden saya with a full length brown leather cover. CONDITION: blade has a very good polish with a small double chip near the midpoint of the ha. Tsuka shows light wear. Saya also shows light wear but with visible scuffing. (02-26661-3/BF).
