Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1259141, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, with standard blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one circa-1970s magazine. Mfg'd 1943. Frame is marked "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection marked and "P" on the left side. Right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". "(Crossed Cannons)" final inspection mark is at the rear. Slide is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. INC./ITHACA N.Y. U.S.A." on the left, with a "P" on top. Blued barrel is marked "HS". Pistol is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 70%-75% parkerized finish, with wear on the left side of the frame and grip area, with high point wear to the slide. Factory lettering is clear. Grips display moderate+ wear, with a small crack on the bottom of the left grip. Action works properly. Bore is very good with clearly defined rifling.
