WITH HOLSTER & STOCK. Cal. 9mm. S# 6807. Bbl. 5 7/8". P.04 Navy Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM in 1917. Bbl. extension is marked "1917" over the top of the chamber (repeated on left side of frame and front sight base), with an imperial navy crown proof (repeated on left side of bbl. and breechblock) and x2 Crown/M proofs marked on the left. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, with some small parts exhibiting a straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and Navy 2-position V-notch rear sight graduated "100" and "200". Nearly all serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, bbl., bbl. extension, trigger bar, breechblock, and toggles. Grips are mismatched, but match each other via "70". MAGS: x1 8-rd. with unmarked concentric circle wood plug. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original LP.08 "Artillery Luger" brown leather holster. Interior of closure flap is marked "SATTLER-GEN./ 1917/ DUSSELDORF". Rear of holster is vertically inscribed "Monchaux 1918" below a deeper horizontally inscribed "ECR/ MONS". Holster contains a pre-WWII Mauser loading tool and a wood handled cleaning rod. Pistol is also accompanied by a contemporary wood shoulder stock. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original rust blue finish, exhibiting areas and patches of wear fading to gray patina, with scattered handling marks, as well as scattered spots and patches of light to mild surface oxidation / pitting overall. Strawed parts have largely faded to a mottled gray patina. Sideplate exhibits a deep scratch. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining fair amounts of rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show general overall wear, as well as scattered marks and nicks to the diamonds. Left grip shows a chip along the front edge of the panel, as well as an additional chip in the usual area, to the right of the safety lever. Wood mag. plug shows scattered marks, impressions, and chips. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting general overall wear, scattered handling marks, and patches / areas of cracking and crazing.
