SXS SHOTGUN WITH H&H CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 25160. Circa 1906. Whitworth Fluid Compressed steel 30" bbls. having non-matching # "225491" along with London Nitro proofs. Chokes appear to measure Imp. Mod. & Imp. Cyl. Faint German crown "R U N" proofs on receiver water table. Case hardened sidelock action features automatic safety ("SAFE" inlaid in gold) & gold line in tumbler end cocking indicators. Action & locks are engraved w/ classic Holland & Holland style full coverage varying sized shaded scroll within geometric borders surrounding classic "Holland & Holland" banner on each lockplate. Bottom of action is engraved "Royal / Hammerless / Ejector". Scroll engraved trigger guard has S# engraved on short tang. Top tang, rib & forearm tip have gold inlaid "1". Finely marbled & lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock with point pattern checkering & "JAL" engraved gold plated medallion on toeline; LOP: 13" over checkered walnut buttplate. Push button release ejector splinter forearm. DAC: 1 5/8". DAH: 2 3/8". Slight cast off. WEIGHT: 6 lbs., 14 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hardwood compartmentalized luggage case with brown leather exterior along with brass reinforcements. Red cloth interior along with H&H label on lid. Case contains keys , snap caps, oil bottle, 3 turn screws, & bore brush. Case exterior shows scattered scrapes with interior having very good appearance. CONDITION: barrels have over 95% re-blackened finish. Colors visible on water tables with exterior portions showing a pleasure gray appearance. Buttstock has a well executed re-freshened finish & re-cut checkering showing scattered dings. Forearm has good original appearing finish with flattened diamonds & dings.
