WITH MATCHING MAGAZINE AND STOCK! A wonderful opportunity to own one of the most charismatic Luger ensembles! Cal. 9mmP. S# 3609 (Farsi). Circa 1937 Mauser Persian Artillery P08 Luger, production limited to 1000 pistols with delivery 1937. Standard configuration Artillery Luger with 8" barrel having a drift adjustable front sight and tangent rear sight marked with 8 Farsi digits. Persian crest over chamber, a reference to the model on the right side, with translated "Mauser" on front toggle link. Full serial number on forward frame, left side of barrel extension, magazine plug, and left side of shoulder stock. The last two digits on all usual small parts except the properly unnumbered barrel and grips (both with large Mauser "78" and inspection marks). Strawed takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, and magazine release button. Checkered walnut grips. No US import marks! MAGS: x1 8-rd. nickel bodied mag. with aluminum plug. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: ORIGINAL MATCHING PERSIAN SHOULDER STOCK rig including takedown tool and cleaning rod. No shoulder straps or double magazine pouch. Correct manual mechanics. Shoulder stock rig in comparable condition, the leather components still a light tan, minimal creasing, stock with most of its original finish/scattered superficial handling marks, the lug retaining 97-98% of its original rust blue and straw. One of the better Persian Artillery rigs with matching magazine, matching stock, wonderful leather and no US import marks, seldom offered for sale. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of John Eckert.
