AND INSIGNIAS. Group includes: 1) 16 U.S. WWI National Army shoulder insignia. The bronze screw-back insignias are without the retainer and most have flaking worn finish. 2) 19 WWI "U.S." well-worn screw-back bronze insignia without retainers. 3) 2 Civil Air Patrol round insignias. Red propeller with blue and silver background. 4) 7 "C.A.P." and "C.A.P.C." collar insignia. 5) 15 approximately 5/8" diameter brass French Foreign Legion marked buttons from the pre-WWI era. 6) Approximately 19 brass French Foreign Legion 3/4" diameter buttons from the pre-WWI era. 7) 12 brass U.S. Army insignias depicting a winged wheel on a shield inside a ship's wheel. 8) 100+ assorted brass and silver colored buttons which appear to be both military and civilian. Notable buttons include: Boston Elevated Railway, Great Northern Line, Rutland and Pennsylvania Railroad with "RR" in Keystone. Numerous buttons are marked "FD" for Fire Department issue.
