Cal. 36. S# 20757. Early 3rd model 1851 navy, made in 1853. Early 3rd model features, earliest 1-line New York City address with dashes, small trigger guard, thin barrel lug, small 2-line patent on frame, silver plated brass grip frame, loading lever screw enters from right side, full S# on cylinder, varnished walnut grips. CONDITION: very good overall, all original & matching, cleaned, overall mottled gray patina, crisp markings, cylinder has mostly discerned cylinder scene & 5 of 6 functional safety pins, grips retain much of their original varnish. Mechanically fine, crisp rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of John "Jack" Dhooghe. (01-28255/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
