SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 80815. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1943. Left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by Walther's mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac/ 43", and the S#, with Walther Eagle/359 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved brown pressed resin grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. mag., marked with an Eagle/88 proof on the spine. Pistol is also accompanied by a phosphate 8-rd. mag., marked "P38/ U" on the right, with a Walther Eagle/359 proof marked on the spine. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather hard shell holster marked "gtg/ 1943", followed by a faint Eagle/WaA101 proof on the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear and scattered marks from handling and storage, with areas of light to mild age related cracking and crazing.
