SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOSLTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 117564. Bbl. 4 7/16". Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation during WWII. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE" above 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs and an eagle firing proof. Left side of frame is marked with an Eagle/WaA140 proof and eagle firing proof, with 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs marked on the bbl. Front grip strap is electro-penciled "150228207 Conn.". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Fixed half-moon blade front sight mounted on slide extension, with dovetailed V-notch rear sight on slide. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), slide extension, as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 9-rd. stamped with an Eagle/WaA140 proof on the spine. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked black leather holster with period German military pin. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts to the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear fading to gray patina (most notably on slide extension), mild edge wear, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting a couple of spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
