SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 11232b. Bbl. 4 7/16". Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation between May to December of 1943. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE", as well as with an "(H)" (Heer), eagle firing proof, and 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard fixed half-moon blade front sight on slide extension and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), slide extension, as well as the bbl. MAGS: 2 9-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "jhg/ 43" (Gustav Genschow & Co.) on the closure flap strap. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray and brown patinas, scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as some spots of light pitting overall. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing and scattered marks from handling and storage, with several impressions present on the bottom of the left panel. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting general overall wear, with some light to mild age related cracking and crazing. (25-6160/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
