Main Description: Windageed adjustable blade front sight with ramp, adjustable folding tang peep sight, tapered heavy round barrel, rear flat is marked Metfords Patent 374, round portion marked George Gibbs 29 Corne St, Bristol, smooth lock with checkered spur hammer that does not function, single trigger, nipple is intact. One piece half length wood stock, checkered forearm with single wedge, horn tip and some chips, checkered pistol grip, smooth steel butt plate, vanity plate, grip cap. Accessories include: Bullet Starter and cleaning rod, screw driver, powder flask, nipple wrench, powder measure, slip on bullet guide, jag, ball and patch removers, lead bullets with loading information.

Bidders are responsible for full payment of all items upon winning. Switzer’s Auction will take all necessary steps to recover unpaid balances in order to mitigate losses. Firearm ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection or test firing is undertaken by Switzer’s. Any concern must be addressed with a recognized gunsmith prior to firing any firearm.
CANADIAN BIDDERS:
Firearm, Ammunition, and Cartridge Magazine purchasers require a valid P.A.L. (Possession and Acquisition License). All restricted and prohibited firearms are registered with the Canadian Firearms Program and will be transferred to the purchaser following the completion of the sale and receipt of full payment. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine that they have the correct category of license for the intended purchase prior to bidding. You will require a P.A.L. for all Prohibited/Restricted/Non-Restricted category firearms. No P.A.L. is required for Antique category firearms.
Cartridge Magazine, Ammunition and Firearms will be shipped to an address on file with the CFO.
Ammunition and Firearms cannot be shipped in the same box.
Ammunition will be shipped with UPS or Purolator depending on your location and restrictions. We will ship Ammunition to your address on file with the CFO.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver/ or you don’t have a valid license to possess will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
As we are selling Firearms, Ammunition and Cartridge Magazines, it is imperative that bidders/customers provide us their correct information. We require your full correct name as shown on your PAL, PAL number, date of birth, the mailing address that is associated with your PAL. **NEW** Due to tariff and shipping regulations, we will not ship directly to the USA. Do not bid on items if you require your shipment to be sent to a USA address. Excluding firearms that will be sent to an exporter.
International buyers, we cannot ship receivers, ammunition/primers/primed brass, dummy rounds, bb’s and pellets, gun parts, magazines, air guns, slides or barrels, inert munitions or grenades. In our sale, these are lots 4500-4989, 10000–15999, 19000-22999, 26000-26899, 28000–28999, 36000-36999. These cannot be shipped by us or an exporter. Do not bid on these items.
Please understand your countries import laws before bidding on all lots. Each country will have different import regulations. We will not be held responsible if it is determined we are unable to ship your items to you. They will need to be resold, regular commission rates will apply.

BIDDING: The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and the decision of the auctioneer relating to all matters is final. Pre-bids are time stamped and the earliest bid will win any tie situation. All sales are final and not subject to conditions. All merchandise is sold 'As Is' without recourse to the vendor. All goods advertised or displayed are subject to withdrawal prior to sale within the discretion of the auctioneer. The Auctioneers may reject a bid at their discretion without reason or explanation. Bid increments are fixed for online only auctions. Bid increments are fixed for the pre-bidding and maximum bid portion of Online/Live auctions. Once the sale goes Live the Auctioneer has the option to adjust the bid increments.
Placing your bid is your acceptance of all Terms and Conditions, Buyer's Premium, Taxes, Shipping, Pick up and Payment information. Please read them before bidding. Bid retractions will only be permitted when we have made a gross description error, obvious customer bid input errors ($5000.00 instead of $500.00).

All Firearms and Ammunition are sold as Collector lots only. Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the Firearm or Ammunition is expressly denied by Switzer's Auction. A competent Gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any Firearm or Ammunition. The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall Switzer's Auction be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental, or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Specific condition requests can be obtained via email at admin@switzersauction.com. Any statement given is strictly an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Switzer's Auction shall not be responsible for any error or omissions in lot listings.
DE-ACTIVATIONS: We are licensed to perform de-activations. Prices to de-activate vary depending on the type and complexity of the work needed to be performed. We de-activate to the Canadian Firearms Technical Inspection standard, this standard may not meet the standard for export to foreign Countries. Please email admin@switzersauction.com for quotes to de-activate prior to bidding, minimum fee is $100.00 and can increase to $450.00 + for a complicated fully automatic machine gun. Firearms de-activated by Switzer’s will be reported to the Canadian Firearms Registry and once approved a letter of de-activation will be provided.
We sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by other may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
