GUN. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 14525. Bbl. 10 1/2" with Cutts compensator. Blade front sight. Folding Lyman ladder aperture rear sight. Upper & lower halves are matching numbered. Iconic Colt 1921AC Thompson well known for use during the Prohibition era by both sides of the law. Volume 2 of Herigstad's Colt Thompson Serial number books lists this gun as being shipped to the New Orleans Police Department on August 1st, 1934. Compensator has four slots & bears only Cutt's trade markings. Left side of receiver has standard 1921 Thompson & Colt markings. Top of receiver has Thompson bullet logo. Right side of receiver has Auto Ordnance New York markings with several patent dates. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with vertical foregrip. MAGS: none present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: spare bbl. assembly with front sight, four slot Cutts Comp that has both Thompson & Cutts markings. Bore of bbl. has bright near excellent bore. CONDITION: stock set shows some dings, staining, finish loss & handling marks. Metal retains 50-60% original blue with overall peppery oxidation, a small cleaned area on bbl., some light pitting, edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
