FIELD GUN. Cal. 28 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 815 F4 (1964). The 28" demi-block barrels with raised ventilated rib have all correct markings on top either side of rib. Left side is marked for modified and I-mod chokes. Blued small size Browning superposed action fitted with gold plated single selective trigger is engraved in grade 1 style with attractive scrolls and swirls on each side. Plain European walnut long tang round knob buttstock measures 14-1/4" over plastic Browning buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Rounded field forend matches well. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2-1/8". DAC: 1-1/2". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 9 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in vintage tan Hartmann case lined in fawn faux fur. Case contains instruction envelope and 1 key. CONDITION: competently restored to "nearly new" (most likely factory or U.S. representative). with only a few handling and assembly marks in all factory type finishes. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically crisp; ejectors a bit out of time. Case is very good; lightly soiled interior. (26-1425/MGM). CURIO. $5,000-7,000.
