HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2T6731. Bbl. 4 5/8". 1 of few No.2 MK.I* High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Canada by Inglis, built with an existing slotted frame. The left side of the slide is marked "MK. I*" above "BROWNING-F.N.9MM.H.P." and "INGLIS, CANADA". Right side of the frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit Canadian proofs. Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Slotted frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, and features a lanyard stud and ring on the left side. Thumbprint slide features a dovetailed blade front sight, with a fixed square notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 phosphate 13-rd. mag. with split tail floorplate, marked "JI" on the front of the body and on the floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: notes from Charles Wagner detailing this variation. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their arsenal parkerized finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild edge wear, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but are otherwise very good overall. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-399/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
