Cal. 36 S# 31978. Standard configuration, silver plated steel back strap & trigger guard, 7.5" octagonal barrel marked "ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON" with dashes, small brass cone shaped bead sight, 6-shot cylinder with rolled naval battle scene, high gloss varnished burl walnut grips. Revolver is blued and case hardened, British proofs on frame and each cylinder chamber. Manufactured 1854. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Revolver is housed in blue velvet lined English mahogany Colt casing with fine Dixson bag flask, 2-cavity "COLTS PATENT" bullet mold, Eley green label 500 cap tin, cleaning rod & screwdriver/nipple wrench combination tool, opened cartridge pack, and loose bullets. CONDITION: Revolver is fine, retaining about 30% factory blue, cylinder has good complete cylinder scene. Frame, loading assembly, and hammer retain 60% muted case colors, grips retain 90% old bright varnish, silver plate is about 90% with tarnish. Crisp mechanics, very good rifled bore. Casing is missing plaque on lid and lock mechanism is gone, flask is excellent with most all its original varnish, mold & combo tool both very fine with most of their factory blue, cap tin has good scuffed label.
