PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 GA. S# 765. Bbl. 25". Model 1912 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1912 (first year of production, total production for year approx. 5,308). Left side of the bbl. is marked "NICKEL STEEL", followed by the Winchester trademark logo, model and cal. designations, as well as a "CYL." choke marking. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white. Grooved wood pump with plain wood pistol grip buttstock and checkered brown hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Brass bead front sight. Matching S# "765" is present on both the receiver and receiver extension. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray and brown patinas, a few scattered spots of light to mild pitting, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bbl. exhibits a patch of moderate pitting at and around the left side of the muzzle. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and surface oxidation. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, impressions, and wear to the finish from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Buttstock exhibits a chip at the toe, with a crack on the right and underside of the toe, both stemming from the buttplate. Buttplate has a small chip at the corresponding area of the toe.
