MAKAROV SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER & SPARE MAGAZINES. Cal. 9mm MAK (9x18mm Makarov). S# BT2642. Bbl. 3 5/8". Pistole M (Makarov) semi-automatic pistol mfg. in East Germany by Ernst-Thalmann-Werk in 1962 (indicated by the "BT" S# prefix) as noted on page 57 of "The Makarov Pistol: Soviet Union & East Germany" by Henry C. Brown and Cameron S. White. Left side of the frame is marked with an East German diamond proof below "GERMANY", followed by a boxed "K100", the S#, an "a" inspection proof, and the 2-digit year of mfg. "62". Right side of the frame is marked with a Century Arms import mark above "9MM MAK". Metal components exhibit a high polish blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered mottled brown synthetic grip, featuring a thumbrest on the left side and embossed with a star on either side. Slide features a matte grooved rib with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed square notch rear sight. Frame and slide are matching via the full S#, with the hammer, sear, and trigger bar matching via an electro-penciled "42". MAGS: x5 blued steel 8-rd. mags. x2 mags. are mismatched, with x3 mags. being unserialized. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster, marked with an illegible ink stamp and a partially legible name handwritten in black ink on the interior. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild edge wear, a few small scattered spots of wear, as well as some light superficial handling marks overall. Mirror chrome lined bore, exhibiting some streaks of grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grip shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some age related cracking and crazing.
