BLACKHAWK REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Mag. S# 80-49909. Bbl. 7 1/2" with serrated blade on ramped base; factory frame mounted adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1972 (1959-1973) as Model S47B having eagle logo near barrel address (with "INC."). Fitted with factory brass frame of the same size as the regular Dragoon style Super Blackhawk frame. Grip frame factory marked MR-3DB on right side under grip. References state only 1,550 brass framed Supers were produced just before the introduction of the New Models, Ruger installed many brass frames about 1972 to use up the brass frames they had on hand as they could not be used on the New Models. Old Armies, Super Blackhawks and all variants of Blackhawks (except 30 Carbine) were shipped with brass frames. Most are verify listed by serial number in Dougan's Ruger reference book as is this one. Standard features of wide spur hammer, wide serrated trigger, alloy ejector housing, unfluted counterbored cylinder and brass Dragoon shaped grip frame having walnut grips with silver eagle medallions. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: good black and red 2 piece box with edge scuffs but no breaks. Complete orange guarantee card, "R50-8-70" marked owner's manual and brown waxed paper. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent including bore and grips; factory high gloss refinish. (26-1074/NW).
