DESIRABLE GROUPING OF U.S. WWII VINTAGE FLIGHT
HELMETS AND RADIO EQUIPMENT. Grouping includes: No.1: brown leather flight helmet Type A-11, size medium complete with earphones and cord. In well-worn condition, but appears reasonably complete. / No.2: brown leather fleece-lined flying helmet Type B5. Earphones are not present. Helmet complete with chin strap has wear, flexing and staining. / No.3: brown leather fleece-lined Type B-6 flight helmet without earphones. In worn condition with flexing and small areas of rodent damage. / No.4: ANB-H-1 headset complete with headphones, cord and plug in worn condition. / No.5: AN-H-15 headset with cord and plug. One earpiece has glued repair in otherwise good worn condition. / No.6: Cloth flying helmet marked Army Air Forces Type A-10A. Headphones are not present. Helmet has significant rodent damage. / No.7: Hand-held T-17 microphone with cord and thumb-button. Dated 1942. Well-worn, but appears complete. / No.8: Microphone Type 9104. Also marked "NAF NO 213264-6" with coiled black cord in good condition with light wear. / No.9: Two Signal Corps radio tube and crystal sets. Wooden OD painted boxes measure approximately 13 1/2" by 4 1/2" by 3". One is marked "SIGNAL CORPS / BOX BX-49-A / 18521;CGG 49802-PHILA-45-07". The boxes have radio frequency tags and contain approximately half of their original components. One box is missing its metal tag. / No.10: U.S. Army marked stereo viewer in it's original brown leather pouch. Th viewer has a black crackle finish with wire folding wire supports. Optics are cloudy. / No.11: Late issue Aviator sunglasses in a green leatherette case. Case is equipped with an ALICE attachment. Case and glasses in good condition. / No.12: Chart board light assembly in it's original baseboard container. Container has wear and staining. / No.13: 2 green face-shields for flight helmets, 1 in original paper wrapping. CONDITION: as noted in description. (02-25741/RW). NON-GUN. $200-400.
