Colt Model 1911 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #32001, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered double diamond walnut grips, with standard blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one circa-1970 magazine. Pistol was made in early 1913 and later arsenal parkerized. Frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" with "WGP" (Maj. Walter G. Penfield) inspection mark on the left side. Circa 1918 slide has patent dates to Aug. 19, 1913, "(Rampant Colt)" logo, and Colt company markings on the left side. Right side is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY." The Springfield Armory barrel is marked "SP C-3858-4". Pistol is in very good overall condition as arsenal refinished, parkerizing is dull and approximately 90% remains, with general light scuffs, marks from handling and use. Factory lettering is clear. Grips show heavy wear, with dents and missing wood on the right grip. Action works properly. Bore is very good with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
