Cheyenne Woman's name is found on the blade of this knife. She was married to Bone Club who was one of Sitting Bull's warriors. She was picking turnips when she spotted soldiers riding towards her so her and another woman ran to Sitting Bull and Bone Club to warn them. She offered her knife to her husband but he told her to keep it to protect herself and ran into the timber to hide with the other women and children on June 25, 1876.
