MUSCAT OF OMAN, SHOULDER STOCKS. (1). Cal. 9mm Luger. S# T177353. Bbl. 4 3/4". (2.) Cal. 9mm Luger. S# T177354. Bbl. 4 3/4". In 1969, a Mr. Paul Van Hee was told of Omani interest in FN High Power pistols. Although he was not a representative of FN, sensing a business opportunity, he purchased a number of High Power pistols in 9mmP and marked them in the US with the Omani crest to use as sales samples. The first nine pistols were marked with an error in the Crest; the subsequent 27 pistols had the corrected crest. The consecutive pair of pistols in this lot were both high polish guns from the second group. They each have a drift adj. front sight and a slip-in tangent sight graduated from 50-500 meters. Ring hammer. Left side of the slides was marked with a 2-line address. The right side of the pistols was marked with Muscat of Oman crest. Stacked matching #s on the bbl. hood, slide, and frame. Usual Belgian proofs on the bbl. hoods and the right upper trigger guard webs. Fitted with black plastic grips, the left panel recessed for a rotatable lanyard ring that is present. Correct 13-shot unmarked mags. with a button detachable floorplate. MAGS: 1 13-rd. Holsters are provisioned for a cleaning rod that is not present. CONDITION: pistols present as having 99.9% bright original finish. Comparable condition grips and mags. Mirror bores. Correct manual mechanics. Excellent flatboard stocks with attached holsters, having just the minute handling marks. A wonderful set of Muscat of Oman marked High Powers, one of the few Post-War High Powers exempted by ATF to be fitted to their stocks. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
