BLACKHAWK REVOLVERS. BOTH: Cal. 44 Mag. Barrels have serrated blade integral to ramped base front sights and proper Micro adjustable rear sights. Mfg. 1959 (1956-1962 for all 44 Flat Tops) with XR3 grip frames having optional walnut grips with black eagle medallions. Eagle trademark logo on cylinder frame rather than barrel that is without "INC.". Straight slot steel ejector housings having ejector rod heads with flat faces. Type 4 variations with drilled through base pin latches (initiated 1958). Approximately 1,500-2,000 of BKH47 (7 1/2") and 1,500 of BKH40 (10") produced. Revolvers do not have factory safety update parts; original lockworks. 1). BKH47. S#21450. Barrel is 7 1/2". CONDITION: best appearing of the two. Very faint handling marks on grips. Especially slight beginning thinning on left side of barrel at muzzle and tip of ejector housing; barely visible beginning cylinder turn line. Near excellent bore. (26-1056/NW). 2). BKH40. S# 21449. Barrel is 10". CONDITION: similar wear to previous revolver with turn line more pronounced but still minimal. Very light scratches on ejector housing and adjacent area of barrel; about 1 1/2" from tip of housing. Very faint finish loss at edges of muzzle and triggerguard; plum hued loading gate.
