Cal. 44. S# 43205. Bbl 8" round with German silver blade front sight. Round rebated 6-shot cylinder has Texas Navy Scene roll engraving. Blue & case colored finish with silver finished brass trigger guard. Action has provisions for shoulder stock attachment. Bbl has "B" inspector initial. Trigger guard has "S" inspector initial. Trigger has hand scratches initials "O.W.H" right of trigger with initial "N near the top of the front grip strap. Trigger guard bow has 3 lines scratches across it. Bbl., frame, grip straps & cyl. have matching numbers. Wedge is not numbered. Walnut 1-piece grip has an added 3/8" hole 1" above the butt, possible for lanyard attachment. MFG. ?. CONDITION: cleaned gray metal shows scattered light pitting & marks. Cleaned brass grip straps. Grips show heavy wear with dents & marks. Sound action. Pitted bore retains partially intact rifling. (01-29392/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
