Cal. 36. S# 1607. Bbl 5 1/2" with bead front sight and New York bbl. address. Round rebated 5 shot cylinder. Stagecoach holdup scene roll engraving. Blued barrel and cylinder. Case colored frame, hammer and 1851 Navy style loading lever. Silver finished brass trigger guard and back strap. Barrel, frame, grip straps, wedge and cylinder have matching numbers. One piece walnut grip. Under 22,000 mfg. from the mid 1860s until approx. 1872. The majority were shipped as cartridge conversion or cartridge models making the Pocket Navy among the scarcest of Colt percussion revolvers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in a modern wood presentation case with red felt interior. Case holds; powder flask, cap tin, round balls & case key. CONDITION: very good. Metal retains over 75% blue & case colored finish showing scattered spots of pitting. Brass grip straps show a small amount of darkly tarnished silver in protected areas. Original grip finish shows scattered small dents & marks. Toe of right panel is chipped. Crisp properly function action. Generally bright bore has very good rifling with scattered spots of pitting.
