FLINTLOCK TRAVEL PISTOLS. Cal. 45. NSN. The Oct. 2.75" bbls. have blade front sights. Breech section, spear tip finial triggerguard & locks show light floral engraving. Hammers have sliding safeties. Checkered walnut stocks with tear drops behind locks & wedges in front. Iron ramrods have brass tip. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 Compartment mahogany case contains 2 bullet starters, lead balls, wads, telescope, brass head hammer, C & J. W. Hawksley powder flask, jags, flints, brass bottle, turnscrew, ball bullet mold,& key. CONDITION: metal has even gray patina appearance with light corrosion. Wood has good appearing varnish along with one piece having plug repair at butt & crack left side nose, other pistol has break in wrist, large crack near lock spring & spliced wood repair right side nose. Dark bore shows light oxidation throughout. Appears mechanically fine. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis. (01-27510/MD). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
