KABAR USMC Original Issue WW2 Knife in Original Case .. WW2 era Ka-Bar (Camillus NY) MK2 Fighting Knife, 7-in. blade,
original early all-leather scabbard; excellent condition
Vintage KA-BAR sheath knife - From all the data we can find we belive that this is the genuine thing.
Original Issue made by Camillus NY.. Condition is as shown in pictures.
" tHE 1219C2 (USMC version) were 4 companies that made some version of the knives during WW2- Kabar, Camillus, PAL and Robeson-Suredge. Camillus made the most, Kabar the second most and PAL and R-S made a token number by comparison. Boker had a contract but never made any.
One way to tell the WW2 versions is if they are guard stamped and mainly show up with thin (1/4") thick pommels that are through-pinned (the pin shows on both sides. Those were only made in 1944 and 1945.
The 1943 and early 1944 versions had thicker (3/8") pommels and were peened on only. The first ones had round tang stems peened at the pommel and the latter-half 1943s had square tang stems peened at the pommel.
If you see a thick (3/8") pommel Kabar that is blind-pinned (pin is visible on only 1 side) and unpeened, it is a reproduction/post-1976 version.
Another tell is to look at the stamp. The ricasso stamped Kabars used a font that has very thin strokes of the letter segments and the stamp is relatively shallow. The post-1976 Kabars have stamps that are both fairly deep and have broader letter segments.
Camillus versions come in 3 flavors - WW2, VN and post-contract loss versions. Stamp and construction difference used to tell which is which."

If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship at cost via Canada Post or UPS dependant upon product. We aim to have items out the door within 10 days after auction close. We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. All items are sent by Canada Post or UPS depending on location, size of parcel and regulations. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
Ammunition will now be shipped exclusively with UPS. We must ship Ammunition and Firearms to the address on file with the CFO. A $40.00 late payer fee will be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in online listing. Firearm ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection or test firing is undertaken by KOS. Any concern must be addressed with a recognized gunsmith prior to firing any firearm.
CANADIAN BIDDERS: Firearm and Ammunition purchasers require a valid P.A.L. (Possession and Acquisition License). All restricted and prohibited firearms are registered with the Canadian Firearms Program and will be transferred to the purchaser following the completion of the sale and receipt of full payment. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine that they have the correct category of license for the intended purchase prior to bidding. You will require a P.A.L. for all Prohibited/Restricted/Non-Restricted category firearms. No P.A.L. is required for Antique category firearms.
Ammunition and Firearms must be shipped to an address on file with the CFO. Ammunition and Firearms cannot be shipped in the same box.

As we are selling Firearms and Ammunition it is imperative that bidders/customers provide us their correct information. We require your full correct name as shown on your PAL, PAL number, date of birth, the mailing address that is associated with your PAL. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part will be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. Please be advised that we cannot ship any sort of firearm, directly to USA or International buyers. Buyers must use a third-party exporter for these items.
We cannot ship receivers, ammunition/primers/primed brass, air guns or grenades to USA or International buyers. These cannot be shipped by us or an exporter. Do not bid on these items.

Please check with your governing body and Borderview to ensure your intended purchase is importable, as well as the third party exporter to ensure they will be able to export to your country, this should be done prior to bidding. KOS Auctions nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the title, merchant ability, fitness or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance or period of the property or as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights or other intellectual property rights in lots sold or as to whether a work of art is subject to the artist's moral rights or other residual rights of the artist. All Firearms and Ammunition are sold as Collector lots only. Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the Firearm or Ammunition is expressly denied by KOS Auctions. A competent Gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any Firearm or Ammunition. The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall KOS Auctions or its associcated companies be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. If we sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by other may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
