Browning/FN Model 1922 Dutch Contract Semi-Auto Pistol, #27754, .380 ACP cal., 4.5" barrel, blue finish, checkered composite two-piece FN monogram grips, lanyard loop, with one 9-round blued steel magazine. Magazine is numbered but does not match the pistol. Numbers on the pistol itself are matching. Factory markings are clear, with numerous Belgian proofs and a large "(crown)/W" for Queen Wilhelmina on top of the slide. No visible import markings. Pistol is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 80%-85% thinning finish, with wear at the muzzle, holster wear along the slide and frame, and some areas of light surface erosion. Straps have drifted to a dark, even patina. Grips are in very good condition, with areas of flattening of the checkering detail, and handling marks. Action is crisp. Bore is good with scattered spots of erosion, rifling is clearly defined. These pistols were standard issue for the Dutch Army during WWII and part of approx 60,000 pistols purchased by the Dutch during the 1920s and 30s. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
