Brazilian Contract Smith & Wesson Model of 1917 .45 Hand Ejector Double Action Revolver, #169312, .45 ACP cal., 5.5" barrel, blue finish, lanyard ring, half-round blade front and fixed square-notch rear sight, color case hardened hammer and trigger. Factory markings are clear, with a crisp Brazilian National Crest on the right side of the frame, dated 1937. Import marked on the left side of the grip frame, under the panel. Matching serial numbers on the cylinder, barrel, and frame. Includes a pair of Pachmayr "Gripper" two-piece checkered rubber grips. In good condition with some discoloration on the left panel. Revolver is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 80%-85% thinning factory finish, showing moderate wear at the muzzle, light to moderate scattered spots of surface rust and corrosion. Trigger and hammer display muted color case hardening. Action functions well and locks up securely. Bore is good with some spots of light erosion; rifling is defined. Designated the "Modelo 1917" by the Brazilian government, this revolver was likely in the first shipment in 1938. Est.: $500-$700. (C&R/PPT)
