Brazilian Contract Smith & Wesson Model of 1917 .45 Hand Ejector Double Action Revolver, #208425, .45 ACP cal., 5.5" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece grips, lanyard ring, 5-screw frame, half-round blade front and fixed square notch rear sight, with color case hardened hammer and trigger. Factory markings are clear, with a crisp Brazilian National Crest on the right side of the frame, dated 1937. Import marked on the left side of the grip frame, under the panel. Matching serial numbers on the cylinder, barrel, and frame. Revolver is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 84%-86% thinning factory finish, showing moderate wear at the muzzle, light to moderate scattered spots of surface rust and corrosion. Top strap shows heavier rust due to poor storage. Trigger and hammer display muted color case hardening. Grips are in good condition, with dents and impressions consistent with service use and wear around the bases. Action fuctions well. Bore is good, with scattered light corrosion and defined rifling. Est.: $400-$700. (C&R/PPT)
