BSA Martini Falling Block .22 LR Single-Shot Rifle – Canadian Military Cadet Trainer

Martini action, BSA built 22 LR target trainer. This rifle was original acquired by Canada as a target
trainer for the various cadet corps across Canada.
The right side of the butt shows the Canadian disk marked CC (Cadet Corps) stamped 1 47 CC. Also
present are 2 clear C Broadarrow stamps on barrel and receiver evidence of Canadian Military use.

The top of the receiver also shows a Canadian C.C. mark.

These rifles were originally fitted with a round 24,5 inch BSA barrel.

This rifle is fitted with a very nice BSA Aperture Sight front and rear .

The receiver bears a clear BSA stamps. Barrel, receiver, and frame are all stamped with BSA markings
This model would have been employed to train marksmanship skills while using inexpensive .22 LR
ammunition, closely mimicking the handling of service rifles of the era.

The rifle retains its original un-checkered walnut forend and straight walnut stock, both in excellent
condition, with a nice Brass butt plate. There are 2 dents into the wood on righthand side of stock..
Its unkown what these are or how they got there..

Overall, this is a fine example of a historic British-made training rifle with Canadian military
provenance—both a collectible and a capable target shooter.
