Cal. 44 Mag. (.44 Remington Magnum). S# 02094PM167. Bbl. 20". Model 92 lever action carbine mfg. in Japan and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company in 1980. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN JAPAN", with the model and cal. designations marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger, which exhibits a gold colored finish. Plain wood forearm and straight grip buttstock with blued steel carbine buttplate. Fixed blade front sight with blank in rear sight dovetail and receiver mounted Williams adj. aperture rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, as well as a few scattered pinprick patches of light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of apparent light surface oxidation towards the muzzle, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (25-6146/MLW). MODERN. $350-550.
