SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 4308944. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked "D7312555 MD 34 SA 11 52". Throat gauges 1.5. Muzzle not gauged due to the tight installation of the T-37 flash suppressor. Receiver was manufactured in 1954. Rifle has been assembled using an unmarked walnut stock. The leather cheek pad by MRT is dated "8-58". The rifle is fitted with an original M84 telescopic sight having a straight post and crossbar reticle. Scope is equipped with original rubber eye-cup and sliding sun-shade. Scope turret covers are present and functional. Original M1D scope mount attached to barrel. T105E1 rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Bolt is marked "WRA". National Match operating rod with safety cut is marked "RA". Trigger housing and components are marked "SA" including the milled trigger guard. Brown leather "Bucheimer" military style sling. CONDITION: stock set has a nice appearing semi-gloss finish with scattered small handling marks. Metal retains 85% of its arsenal rework parkerized finish with thinning and light wear. Scope retains a large percentage of its original blue finish. Markings on scope nomenclature plate are clear and legible. Optics are slightly cloudy and objective lens has a speckled appearance, but scope remains serviceable. Very nice shiny bore. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH.
