19th Century Swiss Minerva Silver Cased Pocket Watch with Engraved Back and Rose Gold Colored Trim/Bezel. The acrylic crystal has become opaque, protecting an attractive white enameled face with bright blue Roman numerals, gold dot trim, delicate hour and minute hands, separate second dial. The case shows tarnish and smoothing with age and carry. The interior of the lid is marked "MINERVA" and "(arrow)", "(crescent moon)", and "(crown)" proof. There is a small bird and "R 0,800 F" in a rectangle, "GALLONE" over the serial number 41,2065, and "AB". The opposite side is marked "Otto Schneider / Feitz" in script. The release is not functioning to allow access to the movement. The arrow symbol is the trademark of Robert Freres, a watchmaker and founder of the Minerva brand. Includes a glass dome and hardwood base display case. Est.: $300-$500.
