PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 412. Mfg. 1918. Per "U.S. Pistols & Revolvers 1909-1945" by J.C. Harrison, this pistol has majority of correct era parts including dbl. diamond grips; WWII Springfield Field replacement 5" bbl. w/ heat # "FX-4". MAGS: 1 Springfield Armory 7 rd. w/ lanyard loop. CONDITION: slide shows traces of original blue with balance brown patina. Exposed portions of frame has about 20% original blue with majority under grips; balance of finish on frame brown patina with marks. Grips shows areas of heavily worn checkering. Barrel shows bead blast blue refinish with heavy polishing over chamber & cycling wear; good appearing rifling. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2269/MD).
