Long Bear's name is written in togia on this rifle with the brass button configuration for the Oyuhkpe Band. He was in camp at the Rosebud Battle and helped move the came to Little Bighorn, where he helped guard the camp, along with the women and children. He surrendered with Crazy Horse and joined a scouting unit headed by Crazy Horse for the U.S. Cavalry at Fort Robinson where the Collector believes he would have been issued this rifle.
